After the huge success of his debut album Autumn Flow, independent singer/songwriter Lior is set to release his highly anticipated second album Corner Of An Endless Road on February 9. The album will be showcased on a national tour that includes the West Coast Blues ‘N’ Roots Festival on March 15. Lior spoke to Justin Middleton exclusively for this interview.

After playing the 2008 Southbound Festival in Busselton WA and gearing up for the national tour, Lior believes that it is great to be able to finally play all the new songs from Corner Of An Endless Road as well as fan favourite songs from his debut album Autumn Flow. Like many other growing artists, the songs from his debut album were built up and grown as Lior himself grew. Now, the follow-up album allowed Lior to investigate songs and feelings that were new and sometimes scary for him.

Recorded in Melbourne and produced by Franc Tetaz (Gotye, Architecture In Helsinki), Corner Of An Endless Road also features a 25 piece string orchestra on a selection of the eleven track, including the first single Heal Me, which was released in November. With an orchestra backing him in the studio, Lior explained that at some stage this year he would love to follow in the footsteps of fellow national and international artists and play some shows at beautiful Kings Park backed up by the WA Symphony Orchestra.

Other stand out tracks on the new album include I’ll Forget You; which features a guest appearance by internationally renowned vocalist - Sia - and April Bloom; recorded with the famous ‘oud’ player - Joseph Tawadros - a song about embracing growth through self acceptance.  Lior explained how good it felt to have other musicians included in the making of the album and how he felt as he had much more freedom of expression compared to Autumn Flow.
